Which caro is applicable for may attempt? is CARO 2016 or CARO 2020

Quick Summary
This discussion clarifies which CARO (Companies Auditor's Report Order) is applicable for the CA Intermediate May attempt. CARO 2016 is the relevant order for May 2020 exams, as amendments up to 31.10.2019 were considered. CARO 2020, issued later on 25.02.2020, will apply to the November 2020 exams and onwards.

CARO, 2016 is applicable for May 2020 Exams.

Generally, for May 2020 exams, amendments reported upto 31.10.2019 are made applicable.

Whereas, CARO 2020 order was issued on 25.02.2020. So, it shall be applicable for Nov 2020 exams and not for May 2020 exams.
