Hi..!!!

The only self study book about SFM is PATIBIRAM...

After studying this i dont think u need to go to any classess....

Both Books A.N.Shridharan and pattabi raman are very good book. It depends on you how will you prepare for exams.

There are two choice with reference to SFM reference book. If your fundamental is Good you can opt for AN Sridhar since it is more formuale oriented and with respect to presentation not so good. 

If your fundamentals in SFM is not OK, then, refer SD bala and pattabhi Ram. It is Student friendly and easy to Grasp the concepts
