no need to apply for it as you had valid registration on date of submission of exam form. just focus on study.

Hey it's the same matter with me too and I have called BOS and confirmed. They said i need to revalidate it as I am appearing for May 2017 exams.
My registration is expiring on 24th February 2017.
i have already sent revalidation application along with renewal fees to Chennai.

It's given by the Institute clearly. 5 years me expire hota registration bolra hai na ICAI.
fir ye humari responsibility hi banti hai ki hum khud hi humara registration date yaad rakh ke renew karale required ho tab..
