My friend is ca final student. He has got exemption in SFM. If he claims the exemption then will he be eligible for set of both groups in his next attempt??
Yes, I agree with Mr. Jha, that your friend can avail the benefit of set off if s/he appears in both group. Generally, the exemption in CA is automatic , there is nothing as claiming it.Only, if you wish to surrender your exemption then one gas to follow the procedure for surrendering it.

Hi satish could you please tell me that do i have to fill in eligibility certificate date and no. In exam form.I have already filled in the marks and roll numb. But there is an additional detail of eligibility cert. Should i leave that blank? Exemption in paper 8. So have to give jus 3 more papers nw..
In the erstwhile ca intermediate course, there was a concept known as Sunday test for which Eligibility Certificates were issued. However, such scheme has discontinued for a long time now, I wonder whether that column has any significance, in the current stream of things. My understanding is you can leave it blank. Congrats for clearing group One and securing exemption in IDT. All the best for your ensuing examination.
