Ca final-nov'14

Final 1815 views 2 replies

Hi,

Has anyone started preparing for CA Final Group II to be held in November,2014? Can any one please suggest how to go about it. There is a new Study material for ISCA. I think there are few changes in DTL & IDTL also. The marks in IDTL also have undergone a change ie. now CE is 25 marks, Customs is 25 maarks and Service tax is 50 marks. So we need to give more importance to Service tax than to Central Excise and Customs. So friends kindly suggest how to study and win the Nov'14 exams. I have written May'14 exams, but I am not confident of gettign through. Thanks in advance.

Best Regards,

Jawahar

First of all, as you know .  There is 4 subjects in 2nd group .  Costing, ISCA, DT and IDT. As you Lets Start with IDT .  As you know service tax is now for 50 Marks.  you need to give more time to service tax. Service Tax need detail Study. and for Excise 25 Marks , Practice manual is more than sufficient. and For Customs as you know there is amendments so take amendments class plus practice manual for custom is more than sufficient.  PLUS CASE LAW BOOK COVERED 30 MARKS . CASE LAWS . MORE THAN SUFFICIENT.

Then ISCA , you can purchase Manish Valecha or Dinesh Madan or practice manual or can take classes or Veekas Kapoor or Dinesh Madan.

For Direct Tax , case laws covered 16 Marks,  PGBP Compulsory question get 16 Marks, Chapter of TDS is also most important , capital gain as well as other chapters go through with whole practice manual and amendment book of VG Sir.  More Than sufficient

Costing Theory  Cover Around 30 Marks and go through with practice manual apart from that OR Also cover huge marks plus go through with practice manual specially transfer pricing, standard costing and other chapter also covered in practice manual is very important.
