Hi.. I am appearing for May-12 final exams.. and facing problems with Paper-5 ADVANCED MANAGEMENT ACCOUNTING.
As is the case with many of us.. i understand the concept as wel as the question but whie solving it on my own, i jst dont understand how to start with the solution. currenty m using Study Module and Practice Manual of ICAI.
please guide me and suugest any other books if required.

The problem is common with all of us. I used this technique for solving AMA problems first read and understand the concepts be strong in fundamentals and thorough with formulae, then go through the problem think which concept does it relates to, apply the concept and formulae related to it. Go step by step keep solving end of it u would have mastered that model. Keep practicing different models.

same problem,i am just thinking that we should concentrate only while attemping question ,the only problem is that we know the concept but becuase of long questions ,w e loose our concentration ,we just need work on that,this is waht i think
This is very common problem. The only solution to above problem is, Just keep on practice. While doing syllabus for the first time you wont be able to solve the problem sometimes by your own or you will confused from, where to start the solution however while doing the same subject 2nd time or 3rd time the senerio will be differ.
So dont nervous...... its very very common problem.

This is a common problem faced by most of us.
I suggest u do te following.
1.Follow padhuka book or any other book u r comfo with except icai material.
2.Use icai material / practice manual for revision.
3.Try solving problems on ur own without refering to the book. U will make mistakes, but try solving it till the end , then refer back to the book and see what mistakes u do.
4.Once u find out the mistakesu do, solve the problem again without referring, preferably after 1 or 2 days , so that u can strenghten ur skill.
5.solve as many problems as u can , ther is no short cut to success.
6.Solve past question papers , take 3 hr test similar to exam conditions.Most students face time constrain in Paper 5 exam.
This is more than enough for u to have a control over the subject.

As said by all this is a very common problem faced by all.
My suggession will be to follow paduka's book and work out every illustration problems on your own.
Then try to solve the exercise problems. By doing so you will be able to master the subject.
As always said by my favourite Saravana Prasad Sir " Always workout the problems and dont ever audit them". Repeated revisions will help you more.

Guys i have already mentioned that i dunt have the soft copy of the notes .i just have the hard copy so in case any1 needs them they wil have to take xeroxs.So give me a call if anyone needs it..
your attempt is in MAY 12 ... if you go for reference books now..... you wont get enough time for other subjects.... better to stick and rely upon Institute material only
