What is the process of addition of new invoices in GSTR 7 amendment.

To add new invoices in GSTR-7 amendment, follow these steps: Key Updates -

*Invoice-wise Reporting*: The GSTN has introduced invoice-wise reporting in Form GSTR-7, effective from April 1, 2025, for return periods starting from April 2025 onwards. - 

*Amendment Details*: Notification No. 09/2025 – Central Tax dated February 22, 2025, amended Form GSTR-7 to capture invoice-wise reporting.

Process - 

*Development and Testing*: The GSTN has completed development and testing of the new functionality. 

- *Implementation*: The functionality will be deployed on the portal soon, and users will be informed once it's live. - 

*Sequential Filing*: From April 2025, GSTR-7 filing will be mandatory in a sequential manner, ensuring real-time reconciliation of TDS deducted and claimed.⁴ Benefits - 

*Better Matching*: Invoice-wise reporting ensures better matching of TDS data with suppliers' GSTR-1 filings. -

 *Improved Transparency*: This change improves transparency and reduces mismatches, enhancing the reconciliation process for both deductors and deductees.
