Hello everyone!! My attempt is due in May 2017, I am presently out of India. I need suggestion, how can I prepare Direct Tax Laws and Indirect Tax Laws subject on my own i.e self study. Taking classes is not an option. Also suggest how to prepare for amendments. I only have access to ICAI board of studies knowledge portal. What reference book will be appropriate to compliment Supplementary Study module by ICAI.

Author Bangaru Book is self explanatory for IDT. If you able to complete the book three revisions we easily expect 70+ marks in idt. Regarding DT you can purchase CA R.Sowmyanarayanan, Chennai online classess. His online classes are self explanatory.

For Clearing CA Final its important to have proper study planning . Below are the best teacher book for self prepration
For DT - Go for Vinod Gupta Sir modules (Most important to learn Summary books)
For IDT - For depth study take deepak gupta books OR Rajkumar books as both are very well worsed in the subject
But its important to solve MTP inorder to get the understanding of knowledge .
Apart from this dont forget to refer practise manual
