I AM A STUDENT OF CA FINAL (OLD) COURSE. I AM ELIGIBLE FOR CA FINAL EXAMINATION (OLD) COURSE IN NOV 2009, BUT IT WILL BE MY FIRST & LAST ATTEMPT AS FROM MAY 2010, THE EXAMINATION WILL BE HELD ONLY UNDER NEW SCHEME
(I CLEARED MY PE-II IN MAY 2007 & AT PRESENT DOING THE MY ARTICLED CLERKSHIP FOR THE MINIMUM REQUIRED PERIOD OF 2 YEARS, BEFORE APPEARING IN THE FINAL EXAMINATION)
SO WHAT SHOUDLD I DO, CONTINUE WITH OLD COURSE OR SWITCH OVER TO NEW SCHEME ????????
PLEASE ADVICE AS EARLY AS POSSIBLE
Same is the case with me. I had opted final new course. But that was my mistake ever in life. Syllabus is very vast beside this Think positively and do hard work so as to clearin one attempt.
is there vast difference between ca old and ca new course of final year
not a vast difference,75-80% is same as old course
I cleared my PE_2 in nov 2006. Remember the Institute is always lenient in marking when a scheme is going to end. Be positive and clear in first attempt.
No. 90% of the course is the same. A few topics have been added in the new course.

So, u mean to say that I should continue with the same scheme and do not care for future.
But, even if the syllabus is similar, than also the books will change & it may create confusion

i have group 2 of ca final to clear under the old course.
what happens if i am not able to clear it till nov 2009.
will i have to clear group 1 again under the new scheme?
