Mere paas surbhi bansal mam ki May 2015 wali auditing ki book hai.. kya mujhe naaye book le ki zarurat hai? kaun si book achi hai sumit aggarwal ya vikas oswal?

No major amendments are there in audit.So, you can use may15 book alongwith amendments.

basically... i will be studying audit for the first time...so is surbhi bansal book good for self study?

I would suggest you to start with the Practice Manual of ICAI followed by Surbhi Bansal's Book

CARO 2015, newly add from nov 15 xam, so I think that edition book not cover this

Hey Kabir,

Surbhi Bansal is good book to understand the topics. However, It doesn't help students help in answering in exams. In this case, I would suggest you to complete the surbhi bansal in very short span of time [for only those selected chapters which required conceptual clarity] and refer the practice manual and RTP provided by the ICAI. This would help you to understand the type of question asked and how to answer the same as per ICAI.
