C-form can issue in purchase of generator

We purchased Diesel Generator Set from a supplier in bangalore, supplier asking for c-form, but in sales tax office they are not issuing c-form for purchase of generator, they replying that in Commodity for generator is not registered in C.S.T. Certificate, kindly suggest.

The reply you got from dept is may be due to non mentioning the generator in the commodity list, while you are getting registered under CST Act.

The only remedy is to amend the CST certificate after which you can obtain C Form.

Yes,

You can add dg set in your capital goods purcahse list against form c, when list is submitted in vat department, than after you may purcahse dg set against Form C.

We purchased Generator in April 2012, but now only we heard tat all issues , is it possible to amend now & get c-form from sales tax office ?

I am in critical situation.

kindly suggest.

THEN YOU ARE ENTITELED FOR PURECAHSE GOODS AGSINT FORM C.

Dear Ramkrishnan,

"C" form is applicable only for trading of same goods or goods utilise for manufaturing or producing of final product as far as generator concern. if your company is trading in generator then you can issue form "C"
