C Form

"C" Form is to be issued within 3 months of the end of the
month in which the transaction took place.
IS the C form to be issued for each and every purchase with
the same supplier ? For how long is the C form valid ?
And what happens in case of the supplier if after promising to submit C form,
the purchaser subsequently doesnt do so ?

Is the above mentioned info correct and pls ans my questions with examples if necessary..!!

Dear Kushal,

If you have purchased from outside the state in which you are carrying on business and chared concessional rate of tax i.e.2% right now then, you have to issue Form C. But if you are purchasing at the rate of 2% or the rate of vat applicable to the goods which ever is higher then you are not suppose to issue Form C.

If the supplier does not provide you Form C then, you have to pay the differential tax amount alongwith interest and penalty. Dirrential tax amount will be difference between CST Rate and applicable vat rate.

 dear friends,

kindly clarify

we have taken on hire a crane from outside state vendor.  crane is used for movements of goods within the factory.

The vendor levy CST 2% for "right to use" equipment. against C form

can we issue C form for "right to use" cases.

thanks & regards
