Is there any concept that books of account are not required to be maintained and/or preserved under section 209 for 8 years for a section 25 company which are formed for non profit purposes like advancement of science, arts , literature etc.

For Section 25 companies, Books of account relating to a period of not less than 4 years immediately preceding the current year shall be preserved.

Thank you for your valued response. But section 209 does not say so. Is there any DCA circular or clarification in this regard. Please intimate.
