Normal disability refers to not less than 40% disability and severe disability means 80% or more disability. This has to be certified by a medical authority and deduction can be claimed accordingly. If certified as normal disability, then deduction of Rs.75,000 and in case of severe disability, deduction will be Rs.1,25,000.

50000 or 100000 for AY 2015-16

75000 or 125000 for AY 2016-17

thanks

but my question is Blind Person comes in 40% or 80 % disability.
