Blind person can claim deduction of 80u

DEAR EXPERT,

MY COUSIN IS BLIND. SO I WANT TO KNOW WHETHER HE COMES IN 40% OR 80% DISABILITY ? AND ALSO NORMAL DISABILITY AND SEVERE DISABILITY DEFINATION ? HOW MUCH AMOUNT 50000 OR 100000 CAN HE CLAIM UNDER SECTION 80U

Normal disability refers to not less than 40% disability and severe disability means 80% or more disability. This has to be certified by a medical authority and deduction can be claimed accordingly. If certified as normal disability, then deduction of Rs.75,000 and in case of severe disability, deduction will be Rs.1,25,000.

50000 or 100000 for AY 2015-16

75000 or 125000 for AY 2016-17

but my question is Blind Person comes in 40% or 80 % disability.
