Regarding low brokerage, I suggest not to go for it.

Although broking houses provide you enough liquidity but this way most of the time you will take wrong decisions. 

Invest your money for value buying rather than to find cheap broking house.

If someone is charging cheap rates, surely their services would be also of same kind.   When the market would  likely to turn down in bearish phase; they will sell your stocks and you may incur heavy losses. At that time they demand immediate payments which you may not be able to cope up.  

Yes, i agree with the views of Mr. Surendra ji, you should not depend on the rate of brokerage only. Also consider the market reputation and number of clients etc and other relevant factors...

Direct Investment In Mutual Fund:

Now if you are investing in mutual fund schemes directly, you will be charged less management fee by mutual fund. Therefore your returns in direct plans will be slightly better than the investment you make through an agent. That is why this question arises.
