Quick Summary
This discussion addresses queries regarding the correct Assessment Year for reporting Provident Fund (PF) amounts in an Income Tax Return (ITR) after retirement. It also seeks advice on how to handle commuted pension amounts not appearing on Form-16, clarifying taxability for both government and non-government employees, including exemptions for pension commutation, DCRG, and terminal leave surrender.

In the case of Govt. Employees, Pension Commutation amount, DCRG and Terminal Surrender of Earned Leave are exempted from Income Tax.
Sir, psu employee. should pf amount to be shown in ITR?
Final settlement of GPF is fully exempted form Income Tax.(80C)
1) Tax that pf in py 20-21
