has Govt. passed any notification regarding restaurants tax rate...??
Government mentioned changes in Tax Rate by way of PressNote issued by 23rd GST Council Meeting held on 10th Of November, 2017
And it was added....
"The
said amendments need to be ratified through suitable notifications and will be applicable from
15.11.2017."

So, Today notification will be issued

rates has been notified vide notification no. 46/2017 -cgst (rates)

is this also applicable to dominos, mc Donald's, pizza hut etc

Hi Vinay Reddy,

My doubt is 5% Tax on Hotels without ITC. Without ITC means for the customers or for the hoteliers.

Regards

without ITC for hoteliers.

The press release states that

"All stand-alone restaurants irrespective of air conditioned or otherwise, will attract 5% without ITC. Food parcels (or takeaways) will also attract 5% GST without ITC."

Yes this is applicable to McDonalds, Pizza Hut etc

So, this tax, is it helpful for regular customers or not. I have a doubt?

Namaskar,

Wot u mean by wothout ITC ??

means they can charge 5% GST but input tax credit (ITC) is not applicable on their purchases/inward supplies
