Quick Summary
Users are encountering 'Bank Verification Failed' errors on the new Income Tax portal, particularly after the Corporation Bank merger with Union Bank of India. This issue prevents them from filing their Income Tax Returns (ITR). The problem seems related to updated IFSC codes following the merger. Suggestions include re-adding the bank account with the new IFSC code and attempting reverification. Some users also report discrepancies where a bank appears validated on the profile but not within the ITR form.

After merger of banks, new IFSC codes allotted to merged bank branches by host Bank. Pl add the same account with new IFSC code and try REVERIFY.

similarly, I have a peculiar problem; on the profile page, a bank is added and  validated. But in form ITR 2 in the schedule -bank- the bank account is displayed , but with a rider- not validated- how to solve the problem; it seems no connectivity between the different pages of the software.
