But at the consent of BOD and chairman they can attend meeting.

As per section 146 of Companies Act, 2013 auditor shall attend the General Meeeting

Yes notice of general meeting is to be sent to Stat auditor. Only in case he request for exemption, company can exempt him from attending GM
