First of all, it is superb to have that kind of confidence. So, congratulations.

As regards trying out in Big 4, check if you can be referred by some person working with a Big 4. Partners and Directors can help you quickly. Getting into a big 4 for articleship requires a good reference. If you have it, you are very much in a big 4.

While you do this, it is important to consider what kind of exposure would you be interested in. As in whether you want exposure in tax only, or audit only etc. Big 4s do not allow you switching divisions. If you go for a small or mid size firm, you may get complete exposure.

So, this is what you should answer to yourself. and then decide where you wish to go.

If you decide to have exposure in different areas, then do not forget to check with the interviewer if you will get exposure in different areas. These days mid size firms also confine articles to a particular division like Internal Audit or Assurance or Tax.

Also, discuss with your seniors.
