Hi ,
Leaves are earned at 1/6th of days served so by that u are well within the leaves allowed and won't get extension.
and i guess your last date would be 09/7/2017.

Thanks.

Yes 09/07/2017. But i also want to know that whether i can complete my articles before July only. As i have heard that if total leaves taken are less than allowed, then articleship can be completed before by number of short leaves.

Please if you can help on above too.

You can get more leaves whenever you want to so you can get leaves even before july 17 but ur end date of articleship remains 09072017 without the extension..in no way can ur end date be before that

Ohh ya got it.

Thanks al  lot.

If your confused or have any specific query do ask..

My attempt due is May 2017. but i am reluctant to get in circle of serving extension since i would take leave from Jan 2017.

So its like, skipping may 17 and complete articles & give Nov 17.

The no. of leaves allowed are 182.5 on average and we students always round it off to 183. If your no. of leaves exceed 183, then only your principal can ask you to serve
*to serve an extension

yepp checked it but it doesn't mentions the leaves to be 182 or 183.. 1/6 th of days served so the max can be 156..also in my firm they had allowed 156 only..183 was there during pcc..not sure whether regs are updated..?
Okay... here's a proper clarification of the leaves allowed. I will give you an example and that will give you a clearer picture.

A) Total no. of days served - 700
B) Less- Total leave taken (other than weekly holidays) - 140
C) Actual Period served - 560
D) Entitlement of leave (1/6th of Actual Period served) - 93

EXCESS LEAVE - (B-D) = 47
Yeah agreed Dharmesh. 183 was here previously where it was flat 1095/6. Now it has changed as a loophole has been found. They haven't updated it yet.
exactly.. so just an example it would be something like this

3 yrs = 1095 days

less leaves = 156 days

total period served = 939 days

leaves allowed = 939 / 6 = 156.5

hence by this logic max leaves allowed can never exceed 156.
