           MY OPINION IS TO WORK WITH BIG FIRMS. IN THE MERE COMPETITIVE WORLD, YOU SHOULD BE WELL BOUND WITH  PRACTICAL KNOWLEDGE. AFTER GAINING PRACTICAL KNOWLEDGE, IT WILL BE EASY TO GO THROUGH THEROTICAL STUDIES AS YOU ARE WELL KNOWN ABOUT THE PROCEDURES.

AFTERALL, SELF DECISION IS THE BETTER OPTION.

Hi,

I would suggest you to first decide your objective then you would be able to take decision for investing your 3 years.

You should gather information about the firm whether it is a big or mediocre. The exposure they are going to give you i.e. clients size, type of audit work, team size etc.

Do they have enough work with them so you can learn.

Do they have a big team of articles, so you can have peers to discuss about your studies and other matters.

Their job timings, if you would be able to manage your studies with work.

Do not get carried away by your friends, first decide your needs.

I suggest u that U should Do Articleship at Small firm bcz in big firm U wont get Knowledge of each area as I had Past Experience , N further is upto U.

I agree with Sunny. Usually in big firms articled students will be confined to a particular area say Taxation or Internal Audit or Statutory Audit. In my view, Articleship is not intended for specialisation in any one area but to attain reasonable exposure in all the areas. ALL THE BEST...........

my suggestion is to go with medium size firms
