Yes, it is exempt as per :

"In the Long title, for the word "State" substituted by Guj.Act No.10 of 2008 Sec.2 w.e.f. 1-4-08 Note on Schedule :- In Gujarat budget 1999 Finance Minister announced that "the society gets the benefit experience of senior citizens who remains active in their field. I propose exemption from profession tax to profession tax payers who have crossed the age of 65 years i.e senior citizens i.e more then 65 years age. Total exemption in all the entries of profession tax from notified by notification under sec.26(A)"
