are ICAI books enough?

I did my CPT in Dec last year, I depended totally on ICAI study material n got great results.but that was CPT,now I'm doin IPCC group-1.I have heard lot negative vibes about ICAI material that they r useless n exams come out of them.is that really true?if yes, please suggest some reference books for them.I have got pactice manuals by ICAI too n have got fast ttrack notes n super scanner by Arpita Ghose n Sourab Ghose for all subjects.will that be enough?I dont wanna take any chances,at the same time I dont wanna study too many books n get confused.just want some materials, thats relevant, easy to understand n contains important question

FOR SOME SUBJECTS I PERSONALLY FEEL ICAI MATERIAL IS NOT ENOUGH... FOR TAXATION AND LAW, IF U UNDERSTAND LEGAL LANGUAGE WELL, ICAI MATERIAL IS ENOUGH... FOR ACCOUNTS AND COSTING FM BETTER GET SOME SUPPLEMENTARY BOOK... LIKE R.L.GUPTA, SAXENA VASHIST, PADHUKA.... FOR TAX, U CAN SUPPLEMNT UR STUDIES WITH TAXMANN-SINGHANIA
