The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) is a statutory body established under the Chartered Accountants Act, 1949 (Act No. XXXVIII of 1949) for the regulation of the profession of Chartered Accountants in India. During its nearly six decades of existence, ICAI has achieved recognition as a premier accounting body not only in the country but also globally, for its contribution in the fields of education, professional development, maintenance of high accounting, auditing and ethical standards.ICAI now is the second largest accounting body in the whole world.

Government of India, Finance Department Notification;

Date of notification: 01.04.2010,

With effect from 01.04.2010, all the qualified CWA & CS members are allowed to conduct audit of companies, Tax audits.

By Ministry of Finance, Government of India.

BREAKING NEWS:

ICAI has announced some points keeping in mind students point of view:

1) Atricleship training has reduced to 2 years.

2) Working hours in a week will be 20 hours.

3) Stipend will be increased to 10000

4) Passing marks reduced to 30 marks individual and in aggregate 40 marks and exemption will be on 50 marks.

5) There will be a student union and if any student has any complaint regarding their principal they can complaint to this union and action will be taken on Principal.

6) Transfer are allowed

Any further suggestions are welcomed and will be followed. So any student who wants any further relaxation they can mail at ICAI site

 It is a good rumour...There is nothing wrong even if we making the comments so that we can express the feeling which is hidden inside you ....

There are many students who were  suffering many problem and it has been cited here...There is nothing wrong or un etthical...

All the existing members of the Institute must mandatorily appear for the November 2010 Final exam and pass the exam as per prevelant norms to secure eligibility for continuing as a practicing Chartered Accountant

Amnesty Scheme announced by ICAI

Objective of the amnesty scheme : Looking at the backlog of the old students, ICAI after considering the students in mind, have announced the amnesty on 01.04.2010

Eligibilgity criteria 1

Those students who have enrolled before 2007 and could not clear any group in inter/PCC

Amnesty

One group is waived and they can give only one group.

Eligibilgity criteria 2

Those students who have enrolled before 2005 and coult not clear any group in Final

Amnesty

One group is waived and they can give only one group and also the passing mark will be 35% and aggregate 45%.

Amnesty validity : Only November 2010 attempt.

So hurry up all the old students.
