Appointment of managerial personnel

u/s 196 of companies act 2013, form MR-1 shall be filed within 60days of such appointment.

Please advise me that these 60days should be counted from which date i.e. from Board meeting resolution OR approval in the Annual general meeting??

It will be from effective date of 'appointment'.  Date of Board resolution or  members resolution is not relevant.

 

Yes it will be counted from the date of appointment and no relevance with meeting date.

But director held the position from the back date I.e. before the board meeting ... So should we calculate 60 days period from that back date ?

Can you please tell how is it possible for director to hold position back date .

Board meeting held on 20 April but effective date of appointment is 1st april
