We are a 100% subsidiary of a german company. We want to appoint a director - a foreign national as director in our Board. Can anyone tell me the formalities that needs to be followed for his appointment. Kindly also forward me the checklist (if any) for our perusal and records

The procedures for DIN will be available in MCA website www.mca.gov.in. The formalities to be followed for appointment of foreign national as a director is specified in the attached copy of DIN Instructions in the last sheet. Kindly go through the entire procedure.
Attached copy is the checklist containing details required to file a DIN.
DIN is needed no doubt,
First please check the provisions of the AOA of the Company regarding appointment of Directors and the procedure for appointing foreign nationals as DIrectors and rights of your holding Company.
