My query is, if any person is already registered under gst for logistic services and he opens a catering services / Restaurant / food supply service, is he liable to pay gst on this additional business also.

Yes, a registered person has to pay tax in respect of income from additional business too unless it is exempt.
Yes Gst will be payable on the services mentioned as they are taxable and also u can avail the ITC on inputs and input services used in providing the taxable services
Exempted business whether supply of goods or services rendered is exempted subject to certain conditions.
If the business has been opened under the same PAN then the other business will also be treated as registered if in the same state. If in different state then a separate GST registration is mandatory.
