please anyone clarify about the applicability of new co. act 2013 for CA exams may 2014 as institute has not clarified yet .

Attention: Intermediate (IPC) and Final Course students

Applicability of Companies Act, 2013 for May 2014, Examination

This is to bring to the notice of students that the Companies Act, 2013 passed by the Parliament has received the assent of the President of India on 29th August, 2013. The Companies Act, 2013 has been notified in the Official Gazette on 30th August, 2013 but the provisions of this Act shall come into force on such date(s) as the Central Government may notify in the Official Gazette.

Once, the date of enforcement of the provisions of the Act is notified, the decision regarding the applicability of the Companies Act, 2013 for CA Examination would be taken and informed to the students well in time before the Examination.

In any case, it is clarified that the Companies Act, 2013 will NOT be applicable for November 2013 examination.

If the same is pending from ICAI, then how can other person clarify the applicability of New Act for May 2014 exam?

New Act is not applicable for November 2013 exam. You have to wait for the applicability of the same for May 2014 exam.

Agree with Ankur Bhaiya completely,

It will not be applicable for Nov,2013 term..

However, ICAI notification Dated 6th Sep,2013 doesn't specify the applicability of the New Act in May,2014 term,

Its better to wait for the ICAI update on this matter...

what you think Ankur Sir whether it can be applicable in may14 exam? please tell how much possibility of its applicability in may14 exam.and if possible tell us what will be the changes in accounts and audit due to change of this act.specially for ipcc.

Board of Studies have decided that for IPC/Inter, 45 sections of new Companies Act, 2013 shall be applicable and for Final all 98 sections shall be applicable.
.
This decision of Board of Studies needs to be approved by Central Council of the ICAI. Meeting of Central Council is on 27th Sept.

98 notified sections of Companies Act 2013 are applicable for November 2014 attempt. I have gone through the book on these sections written by CA. Vivek Baid in very simplified language. Cover page of book is attached. The book is of approx. 100 pages.
