A new auditor is to be appointed in the vacancy caused by the resignation of the existing auditor.whether special or ordinary resolution is required.

the company is not covered under the section 224A.

mostly, i think its ordinary resolution.but wanna confirm it.

and whether der is any time limit to appoint the auditor in this case?

No it wil not require the Special Resolution. But casual vacancy caused by Resignation of the previous auditor should only be filled by apppointment of the auditor by the shareholders.

Download the attached file. It will help you in nunderstanding the Company audit cjhapter.

Ordinary resolution in the General Meeting is enough to fill the vacancy caused by the resignation of previous auditor.

Find attached a useful file for secretarial practice.

Thanks

well sir, ok.

is there any time limit for such appointment by shareholders by way of ordinary resolution?

Well Trinath...no fixed time limit for the same and finish it off as quickly as possible.

However technically or legally you have more then a month keeping in view the compliance of section 171 of the companies act, 1956. Trust this helps. !!!
