Dear Sir,

I Have Received Calls From Senior Members To Take Up The Matter And Also Received Devastating Snaps Of Uttarakhand Tragedy Which Has Been Attached.

1. We All Are Appreciating the Provision Of Corporate Responsibility Contribution  @ 2% Of Net Profit In The New Company Bill.

2. ICAI Is A Non Profit Seeking Organization.

3. It Has More Than Rs. 450 Crores Lying In the Bank A/C in Short Term FD Yielding Low Rate of Return.

4. Its Average Net Surplus In The Last Three Years Is More Than 150 Crores.

5. In View Of the Above, I Request You to Make Of Provision of Contribution Of 2% of Net Surplus as Social Responsibility Contribution to the Society

6. I Also Request You To Contribute It To The Victims Of Uttarakhand.

7. I Also Urge You To Set Up A Fund For Uttarakhand Tragedy And Invite Contributions From Members.
