I attended the course in 2009 in Mumbai. If you take it seriously (e.g. attend all the lectures, interact with faculty beyond lectures), there is a lot to learn & apply in practice. If you can let me know, WHY you want to do the course, I can give you more specific insight

In all the professions there are so many certificate courses are coming up. For example in the medical profession accupresure certificate courses etc. These are only to equip individuals with the knowledge on the subject & certificate courses obviously cannot replace a professional degree course. Also more particularly with respect to valuation of immovable properties knowledge on stability of the structure is the most important one which other non technical people cannot incorporate in the valuation.Hence it is very important for the valuers to discuss in detail on the factors considered for valuation the structural part of the buiding- soil particulars- levels of the land-surveyingtype of foundation& superstructuer-structural engineeringetc. So, yes, I think it is pretty much worth it.
Myself too planning to go ahead with the certifying course on valuation.but right now i m bit puzzled off regarding its scope and utility.can somebody guide in this regard. I mean regarding its importance & worth.
Dear all,
Request you to update me about current position.
As per new company law after doing this certificate course can one register himself as Registered Valuer?
Are there any professional opportunities in this area for CA?
I just recently completed valuation course. If you are really interested in Valuation field , you must join the course. Faculties are mostly from valuation field and have in-depth knowledge of the subject. It may open a new horizon of your practice.
