Any excel expert here ?

If you press f2 key on the cell then the dr is disappearing. The data is in number format only if dr is written then it will be in text format then only it can be searched.

You can change Dr with Cr with the help of custom tab in format Cells.

Select All Cell then Ctrl+H then find Dr. then replace with blank

in this exported excel dr. cr was not actually there it shows because of format so copy all datas and paste in notepad and save in desktop and open new excel and go to data tab and click from text and select the notepad file it ask some option give next and finish as with default selection then you can easily can do search because dr. cr. in formating here come actually

If you check cell format it is either ""0.000" Cr" or ""0.000" Dr" because of which you are able to see Dr or Cr.

This is problem with file exported through TALLY software.

To avoid this you have to export file in HTML format so Dr. & Cr. will remain in cell.

Other solution are also available.

hi this will not work..

as we r able to see dr and cr, but when i press f2 in that cell, then dr/cr disappears...

that only i m asking how to make visible when we press f2

As i said earlier you have to re-export file in HTML format. If you will export in excel format same problem will occur.

when we export in html format then we r nt able to modify i mean to say i wanna in excel format only.......
