Annual report unlisted company

Are unlisted public limited companies required to send hardcopies of annual report to all shareholders? Or are they exempt from sending hardcopies since soft copies are available on MCA site ?

Quick Summary
This discussion clarifies the requirements for unlisted public limited companies regarding the distribution of their annual reports. While soft copies are available on the MCA website, shareholders still have the right to receive hard copies. Companies must send the annual report along with the AGM notice to each shareholder on record, with dispatch required at least 24 days before the meeting if email addresses are not available.

But member has power to inspect or get extract copy
There is no immunity for any company from sending financials, except certain classes of companies, Notice + BR+ financials to be send to each member on record date, if you have email ID you can send them soft copy else hard copy to be dispatched at least 24 days before meeting,On MCA website one has to pay fee to inspect documents, If query is in relation to Annual Return ( MGT-7) then it's a post AGM event and not required to be send to Shareholders but if company have website then we blink in board report mandatory..

It is right of shareholders to get hard copy of annual report with NOtice of AGM.
