We do construction work we
have received a road construction contract from but yesterday we have received some amount from PWD, Rajasthan but we have neither generate any invoice and nor report this amount in gst return please guide us what should be done with this amount

Quick Summary
The department disburses the consideration on the basis m b book. you need not issue invoice in government works. simply show the amount received in 3b return in output column and pay the tax after due acceptance of tds amount by setting off such tds amount.
Should we pay GST on amount received from PWD & what will be the rate of GST
Firstly asked the PWD, reason for receipt of amount. May be it's your security deposit or some other o/s amount. If such amount is consideration for work then pay GST @ 18%
Its not security deposit they given us a contract of road construction
So you need to pay tax
