Ambiguity with ignou results.

Hi! Here is my experience with ignou. This could probably help you understsnd how much time they take.

I gave my Term end exam in June'16 and result was out in Sep'16. I got the provisional certificate by post in Oct'16 and received the final degree certificate in May'17 on payment of fee i.e. after I completed my articleship and was invited for convocation

I must say, you are just another victim of having opted for the ca+bcom ignou course. Before I continue, a word to all CA pursuing friends out there if you plan to do your degree through the 'simplified' Bcom of Ignou for CA students, Its a bad idea. Kindly resort to a normal degree correspondence course in any other university.
Ram, I had the same experience. Needn't rely on the wordings in the website and literally wait for your results to get updated. Search in the ignou sites and call up those helpline numbers and keep trying on all extensions till you get one connected and intimate the matter to them. But it won't have much effect.
Secondly, visit your ignou regional office and intimate the matter, take necessary photocopies of your marks card attached in the query.
All this will not make a difference but by the time it's done, you have the proof that you weren't silent on your part.
The last resort is to write a mail to our ICAI Board of studies mail id (Which I don't exactly remember) but ICAI will immediately shoot a mail on response to the IGNOU officials keeping you in the mail trail. That's when something gets done and one fine day you see the postman bringing ur degree provisional certificate to you.
Ram, this is just the worst case scenario which I've gone through. I do not deny that there are other friends of mine who have got it done after intimating to their regional centres.
A word of caution is that if your writing CA exams in november, may be you could set this issue aside till exams are done so that it doesn't take much of your time.
