Quick Summary
This discussion addresses the process of claiming credit for Tax Deducted at Source (TDS) paid on Amazon Web Services (AWS). Participants clarify that the credit can be obtained by filing an Income Tax Return (ITR) and ensuring the TDS is reflected in Form 26AS. The conversation also touches upon the applicability of TDS on AWS and the issuance of TDS certificates.

You can get credit by filing ITR return

1) Do you have to deduct tax at source in this case? There was a case law which specifically expressed not to deduct tax in these cases. Not sure about amendments thereafter (if any). Hope someone can advise.

2) In case TDS is applicable and if you have deducted, then Amazon would certainly provide TDS certificate as and when due. Just keep checking 26AS for confirmation.

We have deducted TDS and issued form 16A, need refund from them
Get refund of TDS credit after filing ITR return as per 26AS
Why gst when TDs is deducted.. it's not govt right?

Oh! Confusing!! Your initial query was how to get credit of tax. If you have deducted tax and also issued form 16A, what refund are you referring to? You mean to say you deducted tax at source but paid Amazon in full?
