AGM with short notice

This shorter notice consent is required prior to AGM or at AGM 

Section 173(2) speaks about board meeting through Video conferencing(VC), The Question in about General meeting , there are no provisions that allow General meeting through VC. Possible alternative would be appointing proxy may help them to hold GM.

 

What is the time limit to issue notice to share holders for annual general meeting and extra ordinary general meeting?

Notice shall be given in writing or through electronic mode at least before 21 clear days to the proposed date of an extra ordinary general meeting.

According to the Act, the period of notice is defined as the day on which the notice is given, not deemed received. As most people are aware, an annual general meeting of a public company must be called by notice of at least 21 days.
