IMPOSSIBLE----SAKSHI JAIN----

" If you can make it happen " i will be waiting for your success

if u have ability to understand concept..especially ama, sfm..aramse u can go for self study. Start from now and be ready for may/june'14. 99% exam wil be in june because of central election in may'14
i have started on october 1st...7 to 8 months time is there..
Hi friends..If any1 there for may'14 . Lets study together n lets share study plan..it may help us if we have any doubts.
Study regularly with the help of good books... Join classes for financial reporting (must) SFM (self study option j b gupta dvd lactures), AMA (decide yourself) ... Be regular in your studies it is not impossible..

Financial Reporting – Best option is to join class for financial reporting (or arrange class notes of any good teacher near your location - (In my view go for Parveen Sharma Class Notes - NOT HIS BOOK). (Reference book: P C Tulsian – It should be your second choice if you are unable to arrange any class notes)

AS - Sanjeev Singhal (BEST) / D S Rawat

SFM - J B Gupta book with DVD Lactures (BEST) (Taxmann Publication).

Audit and SAs - Pankaj Garg  with PM (Best and Sufficient for Exam) – Far better than surbhi bansal.

Law - Munish Bhandari Handbook (BEST) - Plus Padhuka or Munish Bhandari Main book for detailed study, if you have sufficient time.

AMA / Costing - J B Gupta (BEST) plus Study Material, Compiler and Practice Manual (It is better to prepare your own notes for theory portion).

ISCA - Manish Valechha ISCA Textbook (BEST) (Memory Based Edition).... Best seller ... book to fetch high marks in ISCA. well written with awesome presentation … comprehensive and easy to understand... It explains all topics with examples, diagrams, memory codes (refer Study Material if you have sufficient time but not actually required). And at last, go through Practice manual for important questions.

Direct Taxes - T.N. Manoharan Plus Summary Module of Vinod Gupta (Prepare notes for lengthy and typical portion, if possible). Also check T G Suresh’s DT book it is very concise book (BEST for revision)  it can be completed easily.

Indirect Taxes – N S Govindan for Concepts (BEST) (Padhuka/bangar for past exam questions). Yashvant mangal is also good for Revision.

It depends on individual capability..............but self study will take more time to prepare than preparing through coaching classes.

you need to have a good exam strategy in place to prepare in less time

Accounts ----Parveen Sharma

SFM--- self study except foreign exchange and Derivatives.

audit----self

Law --self

costing-- just learn the concept of relevant costing other chapters can be managed by self study.

OR--- you need your friend's help.

DT-- self with Vinod gupta modules.

IDT-- Self with VS datey.

ISCA--- self with Dinesh madan.

Practice manual and Last 3 RTP will be very important for all the papers .

Best of luck ...............

First of all, you didn't told about your attempt whether its May or  Nov 14.

Anyways,  you can surely take 2 coachings at a time (evening and morning batch) which mostly students do.

1. define from where and which teacher you wanna take coaching. As batch problems are the first reason for delayed studies.

2. Don't touch law for sometime atleast. Because there are still 6 months left. Don't know what will happen next. So I'll suggest you to do Auditing and ISCA first.

3. Many people who are good at theory can finish the subjects in 1-2 months , whereas some people struggle with that. Only you know which category u belong.

4. 8-10 months serious study is enough.

Accounts :- Parveen sharma

law :- Munish Bhandari

SFM :- Rajesh makkar + S.D.Bala.

Audit :- surbhi bansal

Costing :-  Sanjay aggarwal ( buy latest solved version of the book as previous version is only compilation of ques)

DT :- Vinod Gupta Modules

IDT :- Deepak gupta

ISCA :- Dinesh madan for its simple language. but still my frnz have advised me to have atleast 1 reading of study manual to be on safe side.

And  Pratik's article which are shared by Rahul is must read

I never believed in studying 17-18 hours a day but was very regular. I studied for 5-6 hours everyday without fail. And so my schedule wasn’t very different during exam days. I slotted my study routine early in the morning waking up at 5 am. Anyways, I can’t keep my eyes open beyond 10 at night.

I started full-fledged studies for six months. I used to study for eight to 10 hours a day. I had made my time-table and tried to stick to it. For practical subjects like Accounts, SFM, Costing – I invested a lot of time in practicing.
