Advice re service tax

Our company intends to set up a tool resharpening centre in Haryana ie we will be providing service to our customers. For this we will import the machine and installed at Haryana.

Pls advise do we have to register with VAT / Sales Tax or only with Service Tax. Also if we register with Service tax can we get a road permit to move the machine from Delhi to Haryana?

Also are we allowed to modvat the CVD paid for import of the machine against the service tax?

We dont know exactly what is the procedure.Can you just take the suggestions from your local sales tax office?

You have register for both VAT and Service tax. Not problem in getting road permit after you register.

You can avail CVD to an extent adn provided under Cenvat Credit rules 2004.

Pls advise wether they are liable to pay Service tax on rental amount? They are collecting and paying service tax on Advertising services.
If they have to pay service tax on rent for hordings pl. advise us from which date it is applicabe.
