Is filing of ADT-1 mandatory for appointment of first auditor of a non government company?

yes it is mandatory and period of appointment shall be 1 year
No It's not Mandatory.

Go through the instruction kit of ADT-1 and further there is nothing in the provision which talks about Filing of ADT-1 for appointment of 1st Auditor

What will be the proof of his appointment ?
How ROC will be intimated that we have appointed auditor within time limit
first auditor is appointed by BoD and not shareholder so it not required to filed form ADT 1.
