Adjustment of Credit note against RCM invoice

Quick Summary
This discussion explores how to adjust a credit note received against a Reverse Charge Mechanism (RCM) invoice for which GST has already been paid. While direct adjustment in the GSTR-3B for RCM credit notes isn't possible, the consensus suggests adjusting it in your books of accounts. If you have future RCM liabilities, you can offset the credit note against those in subsequent months. If no future RCM liability exists within the financial year, the excess amount can be claimed as a refund via the annual return.

We can reduce the existing liability of RCM to the extent of CN liability.
there is no separate column in the GSTR 3B but there is separate column in Annual return.
At the time of filing GSTR 3B we will net off our liability and at the time of filing the Annual return we will show it separately.
