Additional investments u/s 80c

Hi,

For the FY13-14 I had declared about Rs. 38k as 80C investments which my employer considered and I got exemptions accordingly which also reflect in my Form 16.

However, before the year end I made an additional investment of about 6k u/s 80C but since I did not sumbit proofs to my employer it was not considered for exemption.

My questions are:

1. Can I claim exemption for this additional amount while filing ITR?

2. Do I need to submit any proofs with ITR for this additional amount?

Any kind of help will be appreciated.

Thanks,

Nikhil
