Our DSC expired few years ago, since it's a partnership firm and is not subject to audit we did not renew it.
Now while adding key person in the IT portal,do we have to renew DSC
as the expired DSc is in his name?

You cannot use the expired DSC. The new Key Person must obtain a new, valid DSC in their own name, which must then be registered on the Income Tax portal to authorize them to act on behalf of the firm.
