Accounting technician course

Hi there!

I had enrolled myself for the IPCC course way back in 2012. I have presently completed both groups of the same and 3 years of articled training as well. I would like to know if I am eligible to obtain an "Accounting Technician" Cerificate now though i did not register myself for the ATC course earlier. If yes, can somebody enumerate the procedure?

Thanks in advance.

hi Anirudh,

Why you want ATC when you have Cleard both group of CA (Inter)IPCC & Completed Articleship.

Requirement of Accounting Technician course is to Pass 1 unit of IPCC & Complete 1 year Training under CA, thats all. Motive of ICAI for bringing the ATC course is to make competant people in Accounting field who do not able to do CA course or not able to pass CA Inter (IPCC).

However in your case you have completed CA Inter (IPCC) + completed Articleship hence you are treated as Semiqualified / Accounting techincian, so need to ask to ICAI for ATC Certificate as CA inter(IPCC) is Higher than ATC.

Hence try to Clear Your CA Final & Proceed to get CA Degreee if Possible.

AT this level if you want to go for Joining industry then you can join as Semiqualified hence in that case no need to show ATC, as you are already CA inter(ipcc) passed which is higher qualification than ATC.

Hope you might have got clarity on your doubt..

All the Best..;-)
