Four trainee accountants in Reading have been commended for their outstanding exam results. William West, who works for BT Openreach, and David Stevens, a commercial finance analyst for Cable & Wireless, both bagged top 10 scores in the control strategy paper in the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants exams in November. Michael Purkiss, a graduate accountant for RM Education plc, recorded the eighth highest score in the financial analysis paper, while Sunil Thakar, who is on the NHS graduate scheme at The Business Services Authority, came joint sixth in the business strategy exam. The results count towards their qualifications as a chartered management accountant.
