About TRP Number

This discussion clarifies how to apply for a Tax Return Preparer (TRP) number. While TRPs are typically appointed after passing an examination and training by the ITD, no such training or exams have been conducted for a considerable time. Currently, direct application for TRP status isn't possible due to the lack of upcoming batches. It's suggested to gain experience by practising with a CA or Income Tax Practitioner to learn filing ITRs independently.
