I am a Director in one company in AP. I am paying Professional Tax as a Director in additon to the Company. I have started a Proprietory concern in the same city and doing same business, do I need to pay professional Tax again ?

You are earning profit from this business nor salary, so there is no deduction of professional tax.
In AP, every company has to pay professional Tax and all its directors also have to pay PT of 2500/- each.
We have paid. Now we have started Proprietory concern. The department is asking me to pay PT again in the name of Proprietory concen also. Pl clarify
