I am Starting to prepare Direct Taxes. But I want to have ur opinions abt the subject.
First of all ...
I am not joining any claases as I am in my hometown.
I have bought Vinod Gupta's Modules.
3rdly GOI is planning to bring DIRECT TAX CODE in Feb'12....
I wanna knw if this is to be included in my study list of syllabus??
And upto What extent Amendments will be there in the exam to be studied....I mean Period...
Pllsss.....send me ur valuable suggestions....

For May 2012 exams, Finance Act 2011 will be applicable. Hence DTC will not be applicable for May 2012 DT Exams.

As u r appearing for may 12 all amendments before 6 month before u attemp r applicable
i will suggest u to go with manoharan tax book its very lucid and helpful
and DTC will not be coming but a short que that is general knowledge can be asked for 10 marks in my view just read few articles on DTC
and do some planning as time is verry less

For nov 2012 exam, icai has already announced dat Finance act 2011 is only applicable.Dtc is not applicable.
finance act wil be applicable
