Hi All, I have been trying to issue refund reissue request wih Aadhar Otp option. However, No OTP is received even after days though the mobile number is registered and even printed in aadhar cards.(The screen says that Aadhar otp is successfully generated)

So, I tried Prevalidating bank account and generating evc. That does'nt work either even after the bank account is successfully prevalidated. The client does not want DSC.

Is there any reason why OTP is not received. has any of you tried OTP option successfully?

Is it the same mobile number registered with efiling site?

Secondly, adhar otp or bank acct validation are required for ITR e-verification and not for refund-reissue request.... (unless recently modified)

Check the Aadhaar linked Mobile no is same as per your mobile no.

The client has only one mobile number and its the same one with aadhar authorities and efiling site.

Aadhar otp/ bank evc or dsc is required for refund reissue request now. I guess I have to try after a few days

GOOD LUCK.... We can use any other mobile number in Income Tax portal for filing. But, OTP send Aadhaar linked number... So, we will give aware to Assessee..

There is an option 'CPC Grievance' in our account where you may address your issue. I had faced a similar issue with refund re-issue and i wrote to the CPC there. They helped me solve the issue and i received the Refund as well. You may try it as well.

An update.

Aadhar OTPs are now generated instantly and we can easily file IT returns or apply for refund reissue through this mode.

Hi, Can you please share this update in detail.. as I am unable to find the source of this update.. Also, please tell me the procedure for raising refund reissue request using aadhaar otp.. I only know the refund reissue request process which was shared in department's website https://www.incometaxindia.gov.in/Pages/tax-services/refund-reissue.aspx.. Thanks for your consideration in advance..
